Sergei studied Business Administration at the University of Latvia. In early 2000's he worked in production departments on various film projects in London. Later he moved back to Latvia to start his production company Baltic Pine Films - doing both services and own film production. Sergei participated in EAVE and MAIA workshops. In 2016 the company launched Baltic Pine Shorts - a short film script competition as a cultural initiative to discover and support new talent.
