Sheffield Doc/Fest - Rough/Ready

Through a new initiative for 2018, Sheffield Doc/Fest will offer UK and Irish films at rough cut and fine cut stages a space to engage with festival programmers, sales agents, distributors, and financiers. Rough/Ready is a platform to propel the best local talent to a global stage.

Filmmakers, producers or editors will have the opportunity to introduce their film, identify their financial, practical or expertise needs and screen up to 20 minutes of a linear excerpt or select scenes from their rough cut or fine cut film. Rough cut films receive feedback from industry experts, and fine cut works may receive questions from an audience. This scheme is open only to filmmakers based in the UK & Ireland. Projects must be at rough cut or fine cut stage by June 2018.
