The DerHumALC Multimedia Institute - IMD

The DerHumALC Multimedia Institute (Human Rights in Latin America and the Caribbean) - IMD was created on March 8th, 1999, as a non-profit association based in the City of Buenos Aires and with a branch in the Province of Santiago del Estero, Argentina, designed to strengthen the treatment and study of themes about Human Rights in civil society.

We centre our focus around, research, teaching, and promotion of Human Rights problems, the IMD’s aim is to create a range of meetings, circulation and distribution of materials through an adequate use of audio visual and multimedia resources that new technologies put at our disposition.

The confirmation that IMD would function from then as a platform for the consolidation and structure of the International International Human Rights Film Festival, the base project of the organisation that has been going since 1997.
