Star Film Fest is an international film festival dedicated to films by young authors around the world - clear, simple, lovely, but also serious! After last year's successful edition, this year Star Film Fest completes its stellar 10 consecutive years during which the films of young talented filmmakers got a hold on the film screen.
Through the categories of documentary, fiction, industrial, experimental and animated film, Star Film Fest provides a step towards the professional affirmation of young filmmakers, students and any younger person who wants to work in film.
Star Film Fest year after year develops and maintains film culture in Sisak and its surroundings, and film lovers have the opportunity to watch film screenings under the starry sky. In addition to the main/competition program, SFF proudly spreads propaganda of film which for centuries in Croatia and the world has contributed to the growth and development of culture, critical thinking and openness, with accompanying content - exhibitions, film workshops, concerts and discussions on current topics.
As the organizer of the festival, Kino Klub Sisak is also the only continuous meeting place for filmmakers in the area of Sisak-Moslavina County and the 10 years of holding the Star Film Fest confirms that culture, especially film, exists outside the Croatian capital. This is evidenced not only by the authors whose films are a key part of the story called Star Film Fest, but also by the audience who have turned watching films under the starry skies of Sisak into an annual tradition.
