Blade is a production house founded in 2012 in Ljubljana that specializes in auteur films, focusing on genre, debut, and socially engaged films. Their films aim to tell stories from diversity of life and imagination, are visually stunning and always original.
Blade films have been awarded internationally at many prestigious festivals such as Berlinale, Oberhausen, Sarajevo, Chicago, Zlin, Aspen and many others.
Short film Into the Blue (Croatian-Swedish-Slovenian co-production) won Special Jury Mention at the 67th Berlinale and many other prestigious awards such as the Youth Jury Award at the 63rd Oberhausen Film Festival, Heart of Sarajevo, Best Film and Youth Jury Award at Chicago Film Festival...... Into the Blue was also Student Academy Award Finalist and Oscar nominee.
