Axel Film is a film production company founded in 2004. In 2007 Axel Film produced two very successful short films, A GOOD DAY FOR A SWIMM by Bogdan Mustata, winner of the Golden Bear at Berlinale 2008 and THE BOX LESSON By Alexandru Mavrodineanu.
In 2016, Bucharest based producer Marcian Lazar took over the company in order to expand the lineup to feature fiction and documentary and produce daring independent projects directed by Ioana Grigore, Monica Stan, Adi Voicu, Bogdan Mustata.
