Karavan Film

Based in Istanbul, Karavan Film is an independent film production company focusing on human stories at the crossroads of old caravans routes: Mediterranean, Caucasus, Balkans, Central Asia, Middle-East, Gulf and Maghreb.


Karavan was created to support filmmakers from non-Western countries to express their creativity preserved from a Western orientalist market influence, to give a sincere and human picture of the places of the world that we imagine to know through mainstream media. We aim to stimulate cooperation between industries of developing countries, to strengthen the independence of their work and vision. We want to give more to see, to feel, to understand and share.
