International Debut Documentary Film Festival Rudnik

The festival program includes debut works of directors from all over the world. The prize fund is €1300. The entrance to the festival is free.

One of the films will also receive the Anonymous Critic Award (200 euros)

Film screening is not the only thing you can experience at Rudnik. In Sviyazhsk, amateur directors will be able to shoot their first films at the laboratory of the School of Documentary Cinema and Theater by Marina Razbezhkina and Mikhail Ugarov. For those who are interested in the documentary animation genre, there will be classes by Dina Goder, the program director of the Big Animation Festival, and screenwriter Alexander Rodionov. The workshops’ results will be presented to the audience on the last day of the festival.

The educational program also includes lectures, discussions and master classes by the jury members. The attendance is absolutely free for everybody including the Rudnik audience.

As last year, the festival takes place 60 kilometers away from Kazan – in Sviyazhsk, on the land with a grand history, between the Volga and Sviyaga rivers with their incredible landscapes. For seven days, the island will become the center of young documentary from all over the world.
