For more than five decades, the Solothurn Film Festival has presented a selection of Swiss films every January. The event is the engine of Swiss film culture and a platform for exchange between audiences and filmmakers from all parts of the country. The retrospective of Swiss film was founded in 1966. With more than 65,000 entries, the event is one of the defining cultural events in Switzerland.
