Doc Pitch seeks projects with international appeal, challenging/innovative subject matter and treatment/delivery with co-production potential. Projects that push creative boundaries and/or have multi-platform potential are encouraged.
Applications are welcome for:
– Feature (over 40’) festival documentary
– Television documentary series
– Short (20’- 40’)
– Short (under 20’)
Ideally, we are looking for projects that are:
– Fast-paced storytelling
– Contemporary, not historical
– Brilliant storytelling and characters rather than portraits
– A complete story arc which really pulls you along with payoff at the end
– Narrative and story led
– Relevant globally
– Fresh
– Diverse characters
– Led by actuality/action rather than interviews/talking heads, and not entirely observational
– Purposeful with impact
– Extra material and a social media and marketing campaign
– High production value
– Not niche but with a strong siren call for audience hungry for information and story.
