Dugong Films

The Dugong is a marine mammal, the inspiration for ancient sea-faring tales of sirens. From this creature Dugong takes its name.
Its productions include Stefano Savona’s documentary ‘Tahrir’, premiered in Locarno, David di Donatello 2012 as best feature documentary; The 2011 Venice Orizzonti Award ‘In Attesa dell’Avvento’, a short film by Lavorato & D’Agostino. The 2016 Grand Jury Prize at Locarno Cineastes du Present: ‘The Challenge’ by Yuri Ancarani. By the same director the short 'Whipping Zombie' selected in Rotterdam 2017 and in Cinema du Reel Competition. Ra Di Martino's 'Controfigura', winner of the Eurimages Award and selected in Venice Film Festiva 2017l. The documentary short 'Mon Amour Mon Ami ' by Adriano Valerio, selected in Venice Orizzonti and in Toronto FF 2017.
