Cinédoc and Paris Films Coop were created in the 70s. Claudine Eizykman and Guy Fihman took the initiative and created Paris Films Coop in February 1974, in Paris. In April 1979 Cinédoc was founded by Claudine Eizykman , Guy Fihman, Prosper Hillairet, Dominique Willoughby and Catherine Legallou. Cinédoc had inherited , the archives of the magazine Melba (1976-79) a literally multi-coloured journal dedicated to the technological arts, edited by Claudine Eizykman with the active involvement of Guy Fihman, Prosper Hillairet, Dominique Willoughby, and Pascal Auger.
Paris Films Coop and Cinédoc now distribute 751 films and videos from 158 filmmakers and video artists and Cinédoc has organised events, retrospectives, and exhibitions.
