Join us on Wednesday, November 30 at 6 pm (CET), for a Creative Dialogue: Boylesque between director Bogna Kowalczyk, producer Katarzyna Kuczyńska and tutor Ivana Pauerová Miloševičová.
Boylesque is a bittersweet story about living life to the fullest, dis-regarding one’s age and refusing to conform to social norms. Queer performer Lulla La Polaca hasn’t given up on finding love, though his eighty-year-old body and a world that would like to label him as a senior citizen, sometimes can't keep up with his desires.'

Boylesque is Bogna Kowalczyk’s feature-length directorial debut and it is an international co-production of HAKA Films, HBO Max and Bionaut.
The film had the world premiere at Hot Docs 2022, the national premiere at Krakow Film Festival 2022 and screenings at a number of international festivals.
IDF Industry Sessions called Creative Dialogue present directors and producers of exceptional documentary projects and tutors who met during the Ex Oriente Film workshop organized by the Institute of Documentary Film. Tutors are selected by the director-producer team and they are film professionals who had the greatest influence on the project.
We hope that this Creative Dialogue will be an inspiring example for other filmmakers who have projects in development or are in the middle of production. We will cover the whole creative process, including treatment of protagonists, conditions for filming and financing when the domestic political landscape is challenging, different ways of cooperation including international co-production, etc. We will also talk about expectations for local and international distribution.
The IDF Industry Sessions series is supported by Creative Europe MEDIA, Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Czech Film Fund and APA - Audiovisual Producers' Association.
