Accreditations for East Doc Platform 2026 are now open. Documentary professionals can apply for their Industry Pass until 5 March 2026 and secure access to one of the key industry events for documentary film in Central and Eastern Europe.

East Doc Platform (EDP) is an international industry platform for documentary filmmakers and audiovisual professionals. The 2026 edition is framed by the central theme Afterimages, exploring how images and stories linger in our memory and continue to shape our perception of the world long after they are created. This year’s edition will take place from 19 to 25 March 2026 in Prague.

What does the Industry Pass include?

The Industry Pass provides access to selected industry activities and professional events, including:
- East Doc Platform Open Programme
- East Doc Forum pitching sessions
- Guests Meet Guests
- online Industry Guide
- online East Doc videolibrary
- 3 film screenings within the One World Human Rights Film Festival (on March 19, 2026)
- online One World videolibrary

Industry Pass price: €50
Deadline: 5 March, 2026

How to get accredited

All participants are required to complete their accreditation online in advance.
The accreditation process includes the following steps:
1. Register or log in to the Guest Zone – the main platform for all East Doc Platform participants.
2. Fill in the accreditation form with your professional details.
3. Complete the mandatory Sustainability Questionnaire.
4. Pay the Industry Pass fee and finalize your accreditation.

Public pitch presentation of 16 feature length documentary & 5 docuseries projects to international commissioning editors, film funds representatives, buyers, distributors, sales agents, independent producers and other funders.

East Doc Market for films in development
March 24-25, 2026
Selected filmmakers will take part in pre-arranged individual meetings with international decision-makers, producers, financiers and commissioning editors. Over two days, filmmakers pitch their projects at 15-minute-long individual meetings to the partners of their choice or the ones who requested specifically to meet the project. 

East Doc Market for rough cuts and finished films
March 23, 2026
Selected filmmakers will take part in pre-arranged individual meetings with international decision-makers, festival selectors and sales. The market aims to support the distribution and promotion of finished films and rough cuts from Central and Eastern Europe. 

Czech Docs: Coming Soon
March 23, 2026
Five upcoming Czech feature documentaries - presented by their producer–director teams - offer a rare first look at stories in production or post-production. This lively pitching showcase connects Czech talent with international festivals, sales agents, distributors, and a curious public audience. Expect fresh voices, bold subjects, and candid insights into how films travel from local roots to international release.

Open programme

This year’s open programme focuses on the practical and creative challenges of contemporary documentary filmmaking – from distribution strategies and audience development to ethics, safety, and new storytelling formats. Through lectures, masterclasses, and case studies led by international experts and filmmakers, the programme explores how documentaries are made, funded, positioned, and shared with audiences today. Topics include world sales and DIY distribution, publicity and outreach, archive-based filmmaking, collaboration between director and editor, and immersive VR storytelling. The programme will also include a presentation of the East Doc Caravan festival distribution service, accompanied by a screening of the award-winning film In Hell with Ivo.
