For the 10th time the Institute of Documentary Film will give Silver Eye Award to the best documentaries from Central and Eastern Europe at Ji.hlava IDFF. Find all about the nominated films and international juries.
Within the 15th edition of East Silver Market, which will take place from October 25 to 30 during the Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival, the best films from Central and Eastern Europe will be awarded. The winners will be selected in two categories: Short and Feature length documentaries. 10 films are nominated in the Short category, 11 films are nominated in the Feature length category. Two international juries will decide about the winners of the Silver Eye Award.
The winners will be announced during the closing ceremony of the 22nd Ji.hlava IDFF on October 29. The winner in each category receives not only a unique award trophy, but also a prize money of 2 250 € and a year-long festival service of the East Silver Caravan worth of additional 2 250 €.
The winners of the previous edition of Silver Eye Award are: the Polish documentary Dust (dir. Jakub Radej) in feature length category, Russian director Inna Omelchenko's Paper Stars in mid-length category and Austrian documentary Sand and Blood by Matthias Krepp.
