Czech Documentary Filmmakers Out in the World – Vratislav Šlajer
Vratislav Šlajer of Bionaut is a producer with an international outlook. His latest project is Kings of Šumava, an animated documentary film by Kris Kelly, which follows the story of the former people smuggler and anti-communist fighter Josef Hasil.

Two Czech Films at CPH:DOX
CPH:DOX (March 18–29) has included two Czech films in the programme: Caught in the Net by Barbora Chalupová & Vít Klusák in the Main Competition and A Sarcophagus for a Queen by Pavel Štingl in the Greatest Hits.

Velvet Docs in pictures
IDF and National Film Archive organized Velvet Docs, which presented films that captured the revolutionary year 1989 and what followed (not only) in Czechoslovakia. The series took place November 13–17 at Ponrepo Cinema in Prague.
