Synopsis
Daňa Horáková is a journalist, writer and signatory of Charter 77, who was instrumental in supporting dissidents. She is also famous for her marriage to the New Wave director Pavel Juráček, with whom she was forced to leave for West Germany because of his controversial activities. She has compiled her experiences into a publication, About Pavel, which was inspired not only by Divadlo Na zábradlí and the forthcoming feature adaptation, but also by the documentary filmmaker Olga Sommerová (The Magical Voice of a Rebel), traditionally in collaboration with Olga Malířová Špátová (Karel). The documentary is not only an illustration of the book, but also a portrait of an era, a relationship and a work.
