Synopsis
Two teenage refugees, Jasim from North Iraq and Alsaleh from Kobani in Syria, are accused of smuggling illegal immigrants into Greece. The film follows the two friends closely in a Greek juvenile prison before, during and after their trial through an emotional narrative of suspense, exposing the tragic phenomenon of professional smugglers who try to force under age immigrants to become smugglers themselves. In Greece with slow legal procedures and harsh laws against smuggling, innocent refugees are often condemned to very harsh sentences. The phone conversations between the imprisoned young boys and their mothers in the war stricken countries further accentuate the desperate double enclosure that these families experience.
