Chemobrionics

Chemobrionics represents a new multidisciplinary field of science dealing with the properties of inorganic substances based on their similarity to the behaviour of living cells. Complemented by quotations from both scientific literature and prose, the film consists of recordings of the movement, growth, and proliferation of artificial substances which create complex colourful structures. The visual poem is a mix of art and science, revealing the aesthetics of nature through the lens of a microscope.„There is an obvious visual similarity between the precipitated structures in chemical gardens and a variety of biological forms, including those of plants, fungi, and insects.“
