Synopsis
The story of the male camp orchestra, which played every day in front of the camp gate at Auschwitz, the gate crowned with the famous banner "Arbeit macht frei". We will hear the melodies that the orchestra played as the prisoners marched off to work. The camera will walk through the gate together with today`s visitors to the Museum. The static images of the film comprise three existing photographs of the orchestra at the gate, two drawings by T.Koscielniak as well as Marian Kolodziej`s remarkable paintings of the orchestra, camp photographs of orchestra members and other prisoners, who talk about the orchestra.
