Synopsis
This is the story of Bogdan Bialek, magazine publisher and dedicated activist, and the extraordinary work he has accomplished in Kielce, Poland, site of Europe’s last pogrom in 1946. He takes on the task of leading his town’s people through the painful process of reconciling the murderous events of their past. We learn how an unresolved past poisons their daily lives and how its resolution is a powerful agent of change. This is a film about the evolution of a man and the transformation of his town. It is about hope and hope denied, and it explores the dynamic between hope and personal loss.
