Synopsis
In the great plain of southern Hungary, there is a family living on an isolated farm, far away from modern life and without much contact with the rest of the world. 15-year-old Gabi, the youngest child in the house, reads science-fiction novels. She is trying to overcome the hard physical work with dreams about distant worlds and time travel. The film is a philosophical visual poem about transience of time and inability of man to brake this never-ending circle. Symbol of a circle is in the core of the film. All the shots in the film are 360 degrees pannings, showing the repetition and monotony of everyday life and the struggle to produce food to survive. In that struggle, people are starting to resemble the machines they are using for their work. In this vicious circle, Gabi, a young girl still full of imagination, looks at the horizon in search for the world she is reading about.
