Zbyszek is a pigeon fancier living in a village in central Poland. He is a kind-he- arted man, self-taught musician and animal lover. "Blisko" pictures a year in the life of Zbyszek, his two-winged and four-legged pets, and his family. Between pigeons’ departures and arrivals Zbyszek’s family home becomes an oasis of intimacy and closeness to which they keep coming back intuitively. This film is about bonds between humans as well as between animals, about staying close in the physical and spiritual sense, about the lack of intimacy, longing for it and about efforts to preserve the bonds with those who slowly become forgotten.
