Synopsis
„Joyride” was a real joy to make for me both as a filmmaker and as an avid tango dancer! Combining these two passions resulted in a fun 53-minutes road movie following the world famous Argentine tango orchestra “Sexteto Milonguero” during their 10th anniversary European tour. Their music is lively and energetic and highly enjoyable not just for the tango aficionados. We filmed them in four countries during their tour: Germany, Poland, England and Croatia behind the scenes, as well as on stage and got a unique insight into their gruelling and often frustrating journey but, as Juan the pianist commented: “if you choose a job which you love, you never have to work in your life again”. So, sit back and enjoy the ride!
