Jan Hubáček graduated in film directing and screenwriting at FMK UTB. He also studied at Baltic Film and Media School in Tallinn and worked at Stink, London. He gained experience with videogames on the projects Czechoslovakia 38-89 and Mafia 3, later producing and directing live-action content for the Last Train Home and The Guild – Europe 1410 videogames. Hubacek honed his skills in workshops: IDFAcademy, East-West Talent lab, ACE Training days, Emerging Producers, etc. In 2015, he founded the production company GNOMON, a member of APA. Jan Hubáček is credited with films such as Dunaj of Consciousness, Miri Fajta, The World According To My Dad, What About Petey? and the television docu-series Who Owns The City?.
