Roman Ďuriš was born in Levice, Slovakia on October 18, 1988. He graduated in 2018 from Film and TV Directing, at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia (FTF VŠMU). His graduation movie Something is Happening world premiered at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival (2019) in the Cinema of Tomorrow competition.
With project Fakir he participated in the Ex Oriente Film workshop, international dok.incubator and won Best Pitch Award at Bratislava Industry Days during the Febio festival. He participated in IDFA Project Space and IDFA Academy.
