Jakub Čermák is film and theatre director, performer and culture manager. He studied directing the Film faculty (FAMU) and Theatre faculty (DAMU) of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He is the founder of theatre group "Depressive Children Long for Money" (DCLFM) and dramaturge of the cultural centre "Venuše ve Švehlovce". He was nomited to the Award of Alfréd Radok for directing play "Makropulos". He underwent various workshops and internships mainly in Germany (Kunstakademie Münster, Opernhaus Dortmund, Forum Freies Theater Düsseldorf, Filmwerkstatt Düsseldorf). He wrote and directed 13 theatre play for DCLFM, acted in 7 other plays and directed more than 10 films (both fiction and docu + many TV shows). His documentary work includes short LGBT documentaries for Czech public TV.
