Director, screenwriter and producer. Founder and CEO of Haddock Entertainment. A graduate of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, the European Academy of Diplomacy in Warsaw and the Film School in Belgrade, involved in European cinema since 2017, directing and producing fiction and documentary films.
Due to her cross-sectoral educational background, she has adopted an interdisciplinary approach to her artistic work, consistently giving voice to the natural world in crisis, geopolitical tensions, and the industrial challenges of the modern era.
Such a touch is especially reflected in “The Study of Smog” (2018), a film portraying air pollution in her hometown of Cracow and its intangible impact on the human mind, as well as in “Restaged” (2025), a story set on the Russian–Estonian border that echoes the transactional nature of our times.
She made her feature debut with the bittersweet documentary “UFO: They are already here” (2022), an investigative journalistic story unveiling the truth behind major ufological phenomena in the world, documented at Poland’s “Roswell”.
Her works have been regularly recognised at international film festivals, including the thriller “At Present” (2023), which premiered at the EFM - the 74. Berlin International Film Festival - and was awarded Best Thriller at the Los Angeles Short Film Award; the drama “Fish swim alive underwater” (2024), which was released at the 11. Finno-Ugric Film Festival in Tartu; and “Restaged” (2025), which was selected for the 21. edition of the L’Europe autour de l’Europe Film Festival in Paris and the 24. edition of the European Film Festival Scanorama in Vilnius.
Besides filmmaking, Beata is also an entrepreneur and author. In 2022, she wrote and published “Islandówki”, a collection of 22 stories based on true events, bringing together touching accounts that blend Iceland’s cultural heritage with personal experiences of minimalist living in harmony with nature in a mobile base. The e-book became a viral hit in Poland in 2022.
Alongside filmmaking, she is committed to film education. Through Haddock Entertainment, she co-developed the international project CineVET: Innovating Vocational Training in Cinema and Digital Arts, within which she co-designed a curriculum guide for academics teaching film arts, featuring training modules that integrate real-world production workflows with market demands.
