Max studies the medical system in Moldova to understand
the fissures that led to his father's unexpected death. He
discovers an unusual group: doctors who practice stand-
up comedy. Ion moves between the operating room and
stage with complete presence in each role. Pavel and
Eugen abandoned medicine for comedy, while Dumitru left
for Romania. Each embodies a different survival strategy
amid exhaustion. The film follows these double lives
with sincerity, observing how humor becomes resistance
against systemic absurdity. But as Max documents the
doctors' reality, he becomes a patient. Diagnosed with
ulcerative colitis, the director enters directly into what he
was observing from outside. He seeks a second opinion in
Bucharest, accidentally mapping discrepancies between
two systems. The film offers no answers, but explores an
open question: what happens when the observer becomes
the patient?
