Durna Safarova is a multidisciplinary professional with a diverse background encompassing journalism, film production, and distribution. Throughout her journey, Durna's written work has been featured in esteemed international publications, and a range of short documentaries she has produced have been showcased in prominent film festivals. Durna's professional experience includes working as a commissioning manager at ChaiKhana Media in Tbilisi and as a manager of international partnerships and curator of the "Best of Fests" program at the Sevil Women Documentary Film Festival in Baku. She has also served as a festival manager at Filmotor, an international documentary sales agency in Prague.
Durna holds a Master's degree in Film Studies from University College London, which she pursued as a recipient of the prestigious Chevening Award. She also obtained a Master's degree in Film and Television from Istanbul Bilgi University and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Baku State University.
