Daria Badior is a cultural critic, journalist and editor from Ukraine.
From 2011 till 2021 she had worked as an editor at one of Ukraine's most prominent online outlets LB.ua. Since 2016, she was a Culture Editor there and wrote about film, cultural policies, commemoration policies, etc.
Daria was a member of FIPRESCI and the Ukrainian Oscar committee. In 2018, she co-founded the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine that awards best Ukrainian filmmakers with Kinokolo prize.
Since 2017, she is the co-curator at Kyiv Critics' Week film festival which takes place annually at the end of October.
Now she is a freelancer, contributing to Ukrainian and international outlets: LB.ua, Korydor, Osteuropa, The Independent, Der Tagesspiegel, OKO press, etc.

Olga Birzul is a film curator and culture manager. She has degrees in Ukrainian and English, journalism, and book design. In addition, she studied culture management at the EU’s Culture&Creativity and Developing Your Film Festival programs. Between 2006 and 2013, she worked for Ukrainian cultural media as a journalist and editor. In 2009, she joined the Docudays UA IHRDFF team. During ten years, she worked as programmer and coordinator of the festival’s education platform Docu/Class. Additionally she curated special program Docu/Art about interconnection of art and cinema. Between 2016 and 2018, she coordinated the festival’s cultural diplomacy project See Ukraine: Docudays UA on Tour. From 2019 to 2021, she was the head of the Film Sector at the Ukrainian Institute, a public institution that establishes international culture connections between Ukraine and the world. She is an author of the lectures about history and theory of non-fiction films as well as an expert in various projects for documentary filmmakers.

Working for Arthouse Traffic for 11 years I had a chance to manage more than 100 projects of different scales and a total audience of more than 1 million people in Ukraine and abroad. Among my biggest projects is Odesa International Film Festival where I held the position of the program director and was responsible for forming the general concept of the event and selection of the films. Another big event is Children Kino Fest, an annual film festival with free screenings at the end of May held simultaneously in 25 cities of Ukraine. I’m also responsible for selection of the films and project management in a number of national film festivals held all year round in cooperation with cultural institutions and Embassies. Among these projects are New German Film Festival, New British Film Festival, Austrian Film Festival, French Evenings and Ukrainian film days in Toronto, Brussels, Amsterdam. I’m also acquisition manager in the company and among the recent films that were bought are Memoria, Titane, Gunda, Annette and many others.

Illia Gladstein was born in Kyiv in 1985. Started his career in film as a short film programmer at Molodist IFF. In 2013, together with Nadia Parfan, he co-founded the International festival of film and urbanism “86” which was organised in 2014-2018 in the town of Slavutych. Since 2014 he distributes independent films with 86PROKAT. In 2019 he founded an arthouse cinema in Kyiv KINO42.
In 2017 Illia founds a production company Phalanstery Films. His first produced feature documentary “Heat Singers” premiered at Visions du Reel (Nyon, Switzerland), was awarded by National film academy (Zolota Dzyga) and Ukrainian film critics association (Kinokolo) as the best Ukrainian documentary of 2020, and was sold to the biggest Japanese broadcaster NHK.

Dr. Yuliia Kovalenko is a film critic and programmer at Docudays UA IHRDFF in Kyiv.
She was a lecturer at the Department of Cultural Studies and Arts History of Odesa National Polytechnic University and at the Department of Fine Arts of Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. In 2017, she received a PhD degree in Cultural Studies. From 2015 to 2017 she was a program director at the independent movie theatre ‘Inotheatre’ in Odesa, where she held the special program of Ukrainian art cinema ‘We Are Here’. As a film critic, she has publications in Ukrainian and international journals (Korydor, LB.ua, Filmar.online, Cineticle, La Furia Umana etc.). Between 2016 and 2018 she was a co-editor of Cineticle Magazine devoted to art cinema. In 2019 she joined the program department at Docudays UA. In 2022 she co-founded the sloїk film atelier (sloik-film-atelier.com) – an independent Ukrainian film curators union, giving space for underrepresented voices and promoting them internationally. She runs her own blog about art cinema kinotabs.com.
She is a member of Ukrainian Film Critics Union and National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

Victoria has a master degree in cultural studies (Kyiv-Mohyla Academy). She been working as a programmer for more than 10 years, including 4 last years as a program director at Docudays UA - which were quite hectic due to covid-19 and demanded both responsible and creative approaches to still keep running the festival. For example, in March 2020, Victoria developed new formats for film screenings and festival events in very tight deadlines, and together with her team moved the Docudays UA online in just a month.
She has experience in programming film programs at Ukrainian film festivals (Molodist IFF, Docudays UA IHRDFF) and film organizations (docuspace platform), as well as a wide professional network and connections to other Ukrainian cultural actors, material and rights holders – together with her team she was collaborating with many of them such as the Dovzhenko Center on the number of common film programs.
In 2022, together with her fellow programmer from Docudays UA and film critic Yulia Kovalenko she established "sloїk film atelier". Its first and recent film curator project is a collaborative work with Deutsche Kinemathek - a program of Ukrainian film screenings in Germany named "Perspectives of Ukrainian Cinema".

Kyrylo is a co-founder and director of the Kyiv International Short Film Festival (KISFF), which has been the larger international short film festival in Ukraine since 2012. KISFF presents a broad panorama of short films.
Since 2015 Kyrylo has also been working on a project, KYIVMUSICFILM — an independent distribution company that focuses on the theatrical distribution of documentaries and arthouse films. In addition, KyivMusicFilm also focused on event-cinema content and opened for Ukrainian audience screenings of opera, ballet, music concerts, and classic films. As a result, the annual audience of represented films in Ukraine is more than 120 000, and the number of films released yearly is more than 50.
KyivMusicFilm also organizes a documentary film festival, INTRO, that covers music and culture-related films.

Julia Sinkevych is film producer, co-founder and member of Supervisory Board of Ukrainian Film Academy, member of European Film Academy, member of Ukrainian Oscars committee.
Since 2010 till 2020 Julia worked as general producer of Odesa International Film Festival, one of the biggest audience film festivals in Eastern Europe. Besides general management of the festival organization, programming of films andcurating parallel section, management of the team and organizational processes, liaisons with international partners and organizations and the promotion of the festival inside and outside of Ukraine are part of her profession.
Working previously for several years for distribution and production company Arthouse Traffic Julia was in charge of festival promotion of the selection of short films “Angry Ukrainians” and feature films produced by the company as well as for promotion of young Ukrainian filmmakers and international cooperation between film industry professionals from Ukraine and abroad. Over the years, she established a network of professional contacts in cultural and audiovisual sectors in Ukraine and abroad. Julia has also co-produced a documentary film “Close relations” by Vitaliy Mansky (2016) and “Heatsingers” (2019) by Nadia Parfan. Currently Julia is working on feature films “Lucky girl” by Marysia Nikitiuk and “Lesia” by Nana Janelidze. Julia Sinkevych graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, faculty of law and holds an MA in film production of Kyiv University of Theatre, Film and Television. Dmytro Tiazhlov is an independent documentary filmmaker and director of photography based in Kyiv, Ukraine. Dmytro is the author of more than 20 documentaries. Since 2007 Dmytro work as a curator of cinematographers course and associate professor at Kyiv national university of theatre, cinema and television named by I.K. Karpenko-Kary.

For ten years worked as a project manager of one of the biggest Eastern European film companies FILM.UA Group, implementing projects to promote both film and animation in Ukraine. Valentyna Zalevska was born in 1988, graduated in Culture and Arts in Ukraine, and media program from the University of Nebraska (USA). Since 2009 she has been working at International Short Film Festival Wiz-Art in Ukraine, now she is one of the programmers and festival curators there. Valentyna has implemented many cultural and art events in Ukraine and abroad, and linked to various film festivals as a programmer, curator, and collaborator (Lviv International Short Film Festival, Visionar Film Festival, Ukrainian cinema in Iceland, Rover Film Festival, etc.). She is also a short film producer. Currently based in Berlin, Valentina runs the annual Ukrainian film festival Berlin and runs her own distribution company Plivka Films curating & promoting films.

Bohdan Zhuk is a programmer for the Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist, Ukraine’s biggest film event (50th edition took place in May-June 2021). With education in linguistics and professional background as translator, journalist and radio host, he joined the Molodist team in 2014 as a press attaché (till 2015) and programmer. He’s programming competition and non-competition sections of Molodist and curates its LGBTQ+ program Sunny Bunny, Ukraine’s oldest regular LGBTQ+themed event (since 2001). Zhuk also manages international events of Molodist dedicated to Ukrainian films: programs at festivals – Encounters (UK), BEAST (Portugal), Jugendfilmtage (Switzerland), as well as Ukrainian film days abroad. He also works in the selection team of the BEAST International Film Festival (Porto), in communications (British Council Ukraine) and translates films for national releases and festival screenings.
