Czech films in IDF's activities at the 23rd Ji.hlava IDFF

The 23rd Ji.hlava IDFF includes several Czech films which are part of Institute of Documentary Film's activities, including Ex Oriente Film, East Silver Market and Silver Eye Awards.

In Jihlava, producer-director teams will meet for the 2nd session of the Ex Oriente Film 2019 workshop (October 23-28). Among the 12 projects are three Czech/co-production titles:
Celibacy (dir. & prod. Libuše Rudinská, prod. Wanda Kaprálová, exec. prod. Alena Müllerová, CZ, PL, SK)
Comfortable Century (dir. Jaroslav Kratochvíl, prod. Jaroslav Bláha / Studio Petrohrad, CZ)
How I Became a Partisan (dir. Vera Lacková, prod. Jan Bodnár / Media Voice, co-prod. Jarmila Poláková / Film & Sociologie, SK, CZ)

Among the nominees for the Silver Eye Awards is Martin Mareček's Over the Hills / orig. Dálava (prod. Petr Oukropec / Negativ, CZ) in the feature length category and Eliška Cílková's Pripyat Piano (prod. Jindřich Andrš / Gamma Pictures, co-prod. Tomáš Šimon / Studio FAMU, CZ) in the short category.

Over 60 Czech (or co-produced with the Czech Republic) documentaries will be available in the East Silver video library during the 23rd Ji.hlava IDFF. Find out what you can look forward to!
