The Institute of Documentary Film is sending a delegation to the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam (IDFA) from November 8 – 19, 2023. The delegation of industry professionals from Central and Eastern Europe will promote new projects and completed films from IDF’s East Silver collection at Docs for Sale, join the IDFA Academy, participate in Producers Connection and more.
The delegation led by four IDF representatives consists of a wide variety of film industry representatives from producers, festival representatives, screenwriters, and editors, to directors. The delegates you can meet at IDFA are - Barbora Drtílková, Peter Drössler, Ondřej Kamenický, Andrei Kutsila, Monika Lošťáková, Irina Malcea-Candea, Hana Blaha Šilarová, Elena Martin, Timo Novotny, Natália Pavlove, Mariia Ponomarova, Matej Sotník, and Anna Waradzyn. The IDF will be represented by: Zdeněk Blaha, Veronika F. Dvořáčková, Anna Kaslová and Sofia Tocar.
In addition, films from the IDF East Silver collection will return to IDFA, specifically Docs For Sale. The complete list of East Silver films can be found below. Screenings of two East Silver Caravan films are also a part of the festival programme - Silence of Reason (Envision Competition) and Magic Mountain (Best of Fests).
The IDF delegation is supported by Creative Europe, the Ministry of Culture Czech Republic, the Czech Film Fund, and APA Czech Producers.
